Carcinomas of head and neck

Prof. Mario Bussi at his private practice performs tests and analyses to diagnose cancers of the head and neck. This type of cancer is statistically more frequent in men than in women and the risk factors include:

  • Diet
  • Genetics
  • Alcohol consumption or smoking

Head and neck cancers are usually followed by other cancers related to the esophagus or lung region. The diagnosis of head and neck cancers follows a subsequent staging study of the pathology that aims to direct towards the correct therapy, either surgical or radiotherapeutic.
